These are all the books I bought recently. Some were on my wishlist, some I bought because the summary sounded interesting, and the others I bought because the cover looked pretty. Yes, I do that a lot. lol

Title: The Best Girl
Author: Emma Harrison

Description:

You Are Cordially Invited . . .

to your brother’s wedding where he will marry rich, famous Marni Shay, at the River Lodge, the most elite resort in Colorado, the state you chose to go to college in so you could escape your family, except they’ll all be there. Enjoy ten fun-filled days of avoiding your mother, who still thinks you’re not girly enough; planning your brother’s bachelor party, because you are his best man, er, girl; and, oh yeah, trying not to drool all over Hot Connor, who happens to be in your English seminar and work at the River Lodge. Put your best foot forward, and . . .

Don’t miss the most joyous celebration of the year!

Yeah, right.

I wanted to get this book since I first saw it at Borders, but back then I was broke. >.<” I had already read “Tourist Trap” by Emma Harrison and loved it, so of course I wanted this book as well. I finally got my hands on it. :)

Title: Getting to Third Date
Author: Kelly McClymer

Description:

Katelyn Spears is a firm believer in the two-date rule. First dates are so awkward; every guy deserves a second chance. But a third? Not unless he’s got serious Romeo potential.

Enter Tyler. Tyler thinks Katelyn’s rule is too harsh. He dares her to go back through her Little Pink Book and grant a third date to all the two-date duds. Oh, and she should report back to the whole school via her newspaper column.

Standing by her policy (and determined to prove Tyler wrong), Katelyn makes a few phone calls. But will any of her old flames rekindle a romance?

I’ve got this addiction of buying Simon Pulse books. That’s what I mostly buy. There’s just something about them… But I bought this one for the cover. I don’t know why, but when I saw it I just had to buy it. After I read the summary, I knew why. This is just my type of book. I really really can’t wait to read it. :)

Title: Prom Crashers
Author: Erin Downing

Description:

Will you go to the proms with me?

It was love at first sight for Emily and Ethan. But then Em lost his number and, with it, all the hope of finding a real boyfriend before the end of senior year. All she knows about Ethan is his first name, that he has a super cute smile, and that he’s going to a prom this month. Which high school? That’s anyone’s guess….

Em enlists the help of her three best friends, who quickly score formal wear and hail a limo. Together, Emily, Max and Sid vow to find Ethan, to find a cure for senioritis, and most important, to find true love — one hilarious prom night at a time.

With a title like that, I just had to buy it. And after reading a preview I knew it was a book I really would enjoy. (And I am a senior too ^^… senioritis. lol)

Title: 30 Guys in 30 Days
Author: Micol Ostow

Description:

Practice makes not-quite-perfect

Claudia Clarkson just cut the cord from her high school love-you-forever boyfriend. Sure, she misses Drew. But with so many eligibles on her new college campus, why study ancient history?

Problem is, Claudia’s lived in la-la-loveland for so long that she’s completely forgotten how to meet boys — and how to flirt.

Then her roommate proposes a solution: Meet one new guy every day for thirty days. Consider it “target practice” for when Mr. Perfect comes along. Claudia’s game, but she definetely hasn’t got game. In fact, Flirting 101 could be her toughest course to pass…

This one has been on my wish list since I read the preview on the back of “She’s Got the Beat”. When I read the title, I thought “OMG! I have to have this!. And after reading the preview I wanted to buy it even more. It took me a while to get it though. Everytime I went to Borders they never had it, which sucks. :( (I have suffered like this once before… I never found Thrill Ride. >.<” And my chances of buying online are -100% for now) But now I’m extremely happy because I have it.

Title: The Boys Next Door
Author: Jennifer Echols

Description:

Cute, available, and one cabin over

Lori lives for summertime on the lake. She spends all season wakeboarding, swimming, and hanging with her friends — including the two hotties in the house next door. With the Vader brothers, Lori’s always been one of the guys.

But while Lori and the “baby” brother, Adam, are inseparable friends, she can’t deny a secret crush on Sean, the older Vader boy. This year Sean’s been paying Lori a lot of attention, and not in a brotherly way.

But just as Lori decides to prove to Sean she’s girlfriend material, she realizes that her role as girl friend to Adam may be even more important. And by trying so hard for the perfect summer romance, she could be going way overboard….

I had seen the cover on the back of “Crush du Jour” and thought that it looked nice. After reading the summary, I wanted to buy it. I’m a fan of stories about guy friends. They’re the cutest. And somehow the title plus the cover remind me of a DJ Sammy song. Ah, but that’s a weird reason to buy a book.

Title: The Pregnancy Affair / Deseo Peligroso (Spanish Edition)

The only different book in this post and this is the first Harlequin novel I buy. I read teen fiction the most, but from time to time I’ve read Harlequin novels from my cousin’s collection. I thought it was about time that I started buying them. I just have one little thing to point out, that’s a major title change. Extremely different title, but then again they do the same with the Harlequin manga line too. But the summary is very similar. This one is in Spanish because the Harlequin line is easier find in Spanish here.

I have a Visual Bookshelf over at Facebook which lists all the books & manga I’ve read and I’m thinking of making a LibraryThing catalog for the books I own.
